STEM Early College Grand Opening

Serving as Project Manager and Commissioning Authority for HISD Jasmine Engineering is proud to be part of four important HISD projects that are being funded through District’s 2015 Bond Program.

These projects will be featured in HISD’s Grand Opening ceremonies on Friday, August 17, 2015, and include the following:  S.T.E.M. Early College High School, Harlandale High School Health Science Technology & JROTC Building and McCollum High School Health Science Technology Building, and an addition to McCollum HS Automotive Technology Building.

Jasmine Engineering has kept the project ahead of schedule and below budget. Our team has worked hard with the contractors to ensure quality.On these four projects there was a realized savings of $1,247,306 in contingency and buy out savings.

All projects were completed within 1 year and 8 months with no cost overruns, no change orders for mistakes and errors, no schedule delays, and no reduction to building sizes.

Jasmine Engineering would like to formally congratulate the administration and board of Harlandale ISD for having the foresight to build such an important first of its kind facility for the children of the district.

S.T.E.M Early College High School will be focusing on coursework in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. HISD is working in partnership with Alamo Colleges/Palo Alto College as well as Texas A&M – San Antonio and local businesses.

S.T.E.M Early College High School Students will be offered advanced courses in Robotics and Automation, 3D Modeling and introductions to engineering careers. Upon graduation students will receive both a high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree from the Alamo Colleges.
