Harlandale’s New School to Offer College Credit

On Friday, August 21st we opened 4 new facilities for Harlandale ISD. KMOL 4 covered the S.T.E.M .Early College High School story.

SAN ANTONIO – For the first time since 1999, the Harlandale Independent School District opened a brand new school on Monday morning. The STEM Early College High School is primarily a 9th and 10th grade campus, with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering and math studies. About 230 students will mark their first year at STEM and they’ll also gain college credit for some of the courses. “We’re partnering up with Palo Alto College for students in 9th grade to begin taking college courses with the intent of them earning an associates degree from Palo Alto College,” said STEM Principal Dr. Eddie Rodriguez.
