Harlandale hires Jasmine Engineering for Bond 2015

harlandale_openingOn October 9, 2015 the Harlandale School Board in a vote of confidence hired Jasmine Engineering for the seventh time.  As Total Commissioning Authority, Jasmine Engineering will be in charge of programming, project management, and commissioning for the 2015 Bond Program.

Jasmine Engineering has been a long trusted partner for HISD. Starting with Bond 2006 and on into Bond 2009 the firm has also managed new High School Band Halls and Field Houses, the STEM Early College High School, the Health Science Technology Buildings at Harlandale and McCollum High Schools, and the expansion of the McCollum Auto Technology Facility. The Band Halls and Field Houses were CHPS Designed facilities (Collaborative for High Performance Schools).

Jasmine Engineering has worked in collaboration with district staff, engineers, architects and contractors to save Harlandale over $9 million dollars. During Jasmine Engineering’s tenure as project manager the district has benefited from having no change orders due to mistakes, no cost overruns, and no schedule delays. All projects have been on time and under budget. All projects from design to completed construction have averaged less than two years.

Bond 2015 also includes the Replacement of Carroll Bell and Vestal elementary schools, both more than 50 years old; additional classrooms at some elementary schools and resurfacing of parking lots.

Our team would like to thank the Harlandale Board and the community for their support. We look forward to working with district staff and contractors to ensure quality and savings for the children of Harlandale.
